We are pleased to announce that the Napping Architects Studio has moved offices. Our new premises are located three metres to the left of our previous ones, and the difference is significant.
Why we moved
After a long analysis, which involved lying in several places, our team concluded that the old office received its best light at 2:40 PM, but lost it by 3:05. The new office keeps the light until 3:50. This extra forty five minutes is, in our professional opinion, transformational.
The new space
The new office includes the following features.
- A large south facing window, with a deep ledge
- A reception area built around a single enormous cushion
- A meeting room containing a table, six chairs and a hammock
- A library of blueprints, stored in a manner that allows comfortable sitting
- A kitchen, in which the kettle is within reach of the nap zone
The move
The move took place over a weekend. Our team transferred their belongings in a series of short journeys, each followed by a rest. By Sunday evening, we had moved a desk, a lamp and a plant. The plant has not yet forgiven us.
“We did not move far,” said Dame Pillow, “but we moved well.”
What will change
Very little. Our telephone number is the same. Our email address is the same. Our staff are the same, though they now sit three metres to the left, and are therefore slightly happier.
Visiting us
Clients are welcome to visit by appointment. Please note that the office is quiet between 2:00 and 4:00 PM, during the Studio’s core working period, and that visitors are asked to speak in a whisper or not at all.
A note on parking
We have no parking. We have a tree. Please leave your vehicle at home and approach on foot, or by sliding.
We thank all our clients for their support, and we look forward to seeing you in the new space, where the sun is better and the floor is warmer.
